About Metals Playbook
Metals Playbook decodes junior mining and critical minerals news for people who don't have a geology degree or a Bloomberg terminal. Every story is one page, built to the same template — the people, the project, the play, the plan, the pitch, the performance, the prospects — so you develop pattern recognition instead of information fatigue.
Metals Playbook exists because junior mining coverage is usually written by people who've never sat on either side of the table — and we have.
One of us spent close to a decade as a mining analyst at a top-tier Canadian investment bank, covering exploration and development companies through several full commodity cycles, before moving into senior management, board, and advisory roles across mineral exploration and other sectors. The other has spent twenty years in capital markets and corporate strategy — advising management teams and boards on financing, governance, and strategic planning, and staying active in the sector through principal investments and director roles at public and private resource companies.
Between us, that's nearly four decades of reading drill results, sitting in boardrooms, and watching which companies actually deliver on what they promise. Metals Playbook is us putting that same judgment in front of readers who don't have an analyst on retainer — for free, in plain English, with the caveats a press release leaves out.
