Bonanza silver in hole 432 at Langis, and a wider story beneath
Brixton drills 6,199 g/t silver over 1.00 m in the Cobalt camp — but the real signal is the broad, moderate-grade rock flanking the veins.
Brixton Metals put out a number designed to stop your scroll: hole 432 at its Langis silver project in Ontario cut 6,199 grams of silver per tonne over 1.00 metre — including a half-metre sliver running 12,386 grams per tonne. To translate, that half-metre carries roughly 400 ounces of silver in every tonne of rock. Langis sits in the Cobalt camp, a district famous for veins of native silver so rich they were once shipped as ore-grade metal. Two rigs are turning, and the company reports 33,858 metres across 155 holes of a planned 60,000-metre 2026 program.
Here is why the flashy grade is not the whole story. Bonanza numbers over one metre or half a metre are the Cobalt camp’s calling card — real, but geologically thin. The gram-meter math (grade times width, a way to compare thick-and-lean against thin-and-rich) tells you the 12,386 g/t hit scores 6,193 gram-metres over 0.5 m, while hole 399, a 50-metre step-out to the south, ran 41 metres at 79.2 g/t for 3,247 gram-metres. That broad envelope, echoed by hole 375’s 19 metres at 78.9 g/t, supports management’s thesis that lower-grade silver spreads out alongside the veins — potentially widening what could be mined beyond a vein-only picture. A new S6-W zone near historic workings, where hole 401 returned 2 metres at 447 g/t, adds strike. Multiple consistent holes, not one lucky hit. The company also holds a strategic shareholder in BHP, which took 19.9% in November 2022 for gross proceeds of C$13,633,810 at C$0.18 per pre-consolidation share. Over the last three months the stock fell about 11% while the junior silver index rose roughly 9% — a 20-point gap that silver’s own 8.9% slide does not explain.
Now the honest part. True widths are not disclosed for any intercept — every length is downhole core length, so in a nuggety vein system the real widths could be materially narrower. No cut-off grade or compositing interval is given for the broad envelopes, and no assay lab, QA/QC procedure, or independent qualified person is named — the CEO is the sole qualified person on the results, with no independent review disclosed. All of this matters most for exactly this kind of coarse, high-grade native silver, where a single flake can swing a sample. Grade continuity between holes remains the open question. Watch for more assay batches from the S6, S6-SE and S6-W zones, a maiden tailings resource estimate from the sonic-drilling campaign, and metallurgical test results — none with stated timing.
