Scorpio Gold steps out 50 metres at Goldwedge — and finds more gold

Two step-out holes at Manhattan, Nevada extend the Reliance Fault system: 3.02 g/t over 48.92 m and a wide 1.19 g/t over 99.94 m.

On September 2, 2026, Scorpio Gold reported two drill holes from the Goldwedge target at its Manhattan District Project in Nevada. Hole 26MN-115 cut 3.02 grams of gold per tonne over 48.92 metres — a rich-enough band of rock, roughly a tenth of an ounce per tonne, running nearly fifty metres. Inside that same run sat a narrow high-grade streak: 19.29 grams per tonne over 5.24 metres. A second hole, 26MN-118, hit 1.19 grams per tonne over 99.94 metres — thinner gold spread across almost a hundred metres of rock.

Here’s the geometry that matters. Both holes are step-outs, drilled about 50 metres away from an earlier high-grade hole called 091. That means they extend the known gold zone rather than just filling in gaps between existing holes. Multiply grade by width and hole 115 carries about 148 gram-metres of gold — a way to compare intercepts on one number, and a strong one. Hole 118’s near-100 metres confirms a wide, continuous bulk-tonnage body wrapped around the Reliance Fault. This is the pattern our geologist flags: nine prior Goldwedge hits plus these two show repeatable grade over real width, a coherent structural model that keeps growing. The stock has followed. SGLD.V climbed 47% over three months while the junior gold index (GDXJ) rose a modest 9.5% and gold itself slipped 1.9% — a company-specific re-rating, not a sector tide. Now the honest part. Every interval here is a downhole core length, not a true width. The Reliance Fault is steeply dipping, and holes cutting a steep structure at an angle can overstate how thick the zone really is — the actual width could be materially less. The high-grade streaks of 19.29 and 5.13 grams per tonne sit inside the wider composites; they don’t add on top. The company hasn’t disclosed cut-off grade, compositing method, or its assay quality-control steps in this release, and no qualified person is named in the text provided. The ‘8.5 km strike’ and historic-resource framing come from CEO commentary without a category-compliant resource behind it. What to watch: assays from seven pending holes (1,696 metres), results from the Black Mammoth target, and a metallurgical flow sheet in progress — none with stated timing.
