Stakeholder drills 498 metres at Loki — grades tell a quieter story

One long hole in the Yukon confirms a fertile intrusion, but the copper and PGE numbers read in ppm and ppb, not percent.

Stakeholder Gold pulled a 498-metre drill hole out of its Loki target in the Yukon’s White Gold District and announced it hit copper, nickel, cobalt and platinum-group metals over the full length. The company calls BA2601 a “fully mineralized” discovery hole. Alongside it, 3D processing of geophysical data lit up a second, untested conductive zone about 1.4 kilometres to the south — roughly 1.45 square kilometres of ground the drill has never touched. The market noticed: over three months the stock rose 6.9%, while copper the metal added 0.8% and the copper-miner index COPX added 0.9%. That is roughly seven to eight times the sector, and the sparkline shows a discrete step-up mid-period rather than a rising tide — the move is company-specific.

Here is what “fully mineralized” actually means once you read the grades. The numbers come in parts-per-million and parts-per-billion, not percent. The best copper hit is 0.165% over 3 metres (1,650 ppm — a fraction of a percent). The broadest slice, 13 metres, runs just 0.067% copper (670 ppm). Nickel tops out near 0.027%, and the platinum-group metals reach a few hundred parts per billion — 316 ppb Pt+Pd over 2 metres in the best PGE interval. For context, a magmatic sulphide deposit — the kind of orebody this rock could host — generally needs grades an order of magnitude higher to pay. So these are pathfinder-level tenors: they confirm a fertile intrusive system and point the way to a real geophysical target, but they are anomalous, not ore. On the resume, CEO Christopher Berlet has led Stakeholder since 2013 with no resource estimate or PEA disclosed, and he simultaneously runs a second listed explorer, Canuc Resources. Geologist Adam Fage brings verifiable White Gold experience from Kaminak’s Coffee project.

What to watch, and where to keep your guard up. Stakeholder plans follow-up drilling on that untested southern conductor, has filed a Class 3 land-use application to unlock a camp-based drill program, and has a 1,250-sample soil survey pending crew availability — none with stated timing. The caveats are load-bearing. True width was not disclosed; core lengths in a broad intrusion with disseminated texture can overstate real thickness. This is a single hole — no strike continuity or repeatability shown. The provided text is also truncated: the central 226-to-451-metre stretch was not reproduced, so this read covers only the upper and lower intervals. The “fully mineralized 498 m” framing folds broad low-grade anomalism in with the better short intervals. The southern target is geophysics only, undrilled. No cut-off grade, QA/QC protocols, or QP independence statement is disclosed in the provided text; the 498-metre “fully mineralized” framing cannot be assessed against a stated economic threshold, and assay reliability and QP independence cannot be independently evaluated from this release alone. And with a market cap in the C$12–27M range and financings that have been non-brokered, a meaningful follow-up program likely needs more capital.
